greetings to all, i am new to this site and am enjoying the topics.

briefly, my family suffered my older/deceased brother's molestation when he was 13, in the congregation.

to this day, my mother still defends the elders that dealt with this situation.

Three day convention

I assume you are young and have to go with family? I missed a 3 day convention in my 20s (in a period when i hated being a witless and wanted out) by choosing to drive myself there instead of going on the bus or with friend or family.

That's what i told my family, i never went. when quizzed over why they never saw me for 3 days I asked them where they were sitting and I just told them i was over the other side of the stadium (8 - 10,000 were there).

Otherwise just fake an illness, or just say you are not going at all or that you will go 1 day only and choose the least offensive one to deal with.

If you are under 18 and living at home then you probably will have to go and just make do with a book to read or something to do while there. Make up your mind though that soon you wont be doing this any more and life will get better.

everybody says there is this race problem.

everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries.. the netherlands and belgium are just as crowded as japan or taiwan, but nobody says japan or taiwan will solve this race problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.. everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to assimilate, i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.. what if i said there was this race problem and this race problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into every black country and only into black countries?.

The only excuse for that post is if you are drunk, but even then not so much.

When i see economic migrants on the news trying every which way to get into the UK when they are already in the EU I think it sucks.

When I see boat loads of refugees fleeing warzones like Syria, then we should be reaching out to take them in. (subject to some rather obvious precautions)

with all the talk about the org's policies and failures regarding child sexual abuse being publically exposed in australia, i thought that it may be a good time to highlight this... i apologise if this has already been discussed, but on the 9th of july the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in england and wales was opened.

here is some information regarding it's aims.. "about the inquiry.

the inquiry offers an unprecedented opportunity to examine the extent to which institutions and organisations in england and wales have taken seriously their responsibility to protect children.. the inquiry will investigate a wide range of institutions including:.

They are well aware of the ARC already which is good and liaising with it.

I think it will need a couple of real cases of abuse from the UK much like the Australian inquiry for them to get their teeth into if you want it to be featured.

But then if they closely liaising with other inquiries like the RCA they may not want to rehash the same turf and may choose to go a different route. I hope they rehash it of course and equally as in depth as the ARC did.
